Everyone can watch all 64 LIVE FIFA World Cup matches even if they’re not an Astro customer

The 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia is happening this June and whether you’re a footie fan or not, you would not want to miss one of the greatest sporting events in the world. Astro, the official broadcaster of the upcoming World Cup, wants everyone to enjoy the games. Yes, everyone.

I know, you were going to scream, “Monopoly!” So, here’s a piece of great news. For the first time ever, Astro is making the World Cup accessible to all, even non-Astro customers.

The broadcaster is offering a World Cup Channel Pass which lets you watch all 64 LIVE matches in HD on all screens, from 14 June to 15 July 2018.

The World Cup Channel Pass is available to Astro Sports Pack/SuperPack/SuperPack Plus customers and they also stand a chance to win an all-expense trip to Russia. The contest ends 6 May 2018.

Non-Sports Pack customers of Astro and NJOI Prepaid can purchase the World Cup Channel Pass for MYR100.

Now everyone can watch the World Cup

The big surprise is that non-Astro customers can purchase the pass for MYR120 and watch all LIVE matches on Astro GO.

Astro is also making available other viewing options for Astro GO viewers. You can buy a Match Pass that lets you watch one LIVE match; Group Pass which gives you access to LIVE matches of one selected Group; or Knockout State Pass which lets you watch all matches in the Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semi-finals, 3rd Place Match and Finals.

Viewers are in for a treat with the ultimate second screen experience on Stadium Astro and its VR app. Live matches will have multi-angle cameras, 180-degree VR view of the stadium, real-time match stats and results, match highlights, behind-the-scene footages, latest news and deep analysis of matches by popular pundits.

All 64 live matches will be aired on dedicated FIFA World Cup channels at:

  • HD – CH823 & CH824
  • SD – CH821 & 822

Astro Arena will also be showing 22 live matches and will be made free for everyone in Malaysia to watch on Astro GO, Astro and NJOI.

Through a special partnership with Maxis, Maxis subscribers can catch all LIVE matches for just MYR1 per match on Astro GO. Maxis will also throw in free data for streaming matches in HD on its 4G network.

Alternatively, fans can catch 41 matches on RTM for free.
