Refer 10 friends to Setel and get MYR100 petrol credit

Setel app

If you haven’t already signed up for Petronas’ Setel mobile e-payment for fuel, this is a good time. It’s also a great time to share the convenience of frictionless mobile fuel payment with your friends and family. You can get a MYR100 petrol credit bonus when you refer 10 friends to Setel.

The campaign runs from 16 June until 30 June 2020.

Here is how it works

To be eligible for the campaign, all you need to do is share your unique Setel referral code with your friends or family during the campaign period. You unique referral code can be found within the Setel app by clicking the burger menu on the bottom right, then hitting “Refer a friend.”

The first 10 successful referrals who have completed their registrations during the campaign period will earn you the MYR100 Setel Credit.

Note that the Setel petrol credit worth MYR100 is valid for a period of one month from the date it is credited into your Setel e-wallet.

The Setel Credit will be credited directly to your e-wallet within five working days upon notification of your qualification. You are entitled to only one Setel Credit throughout the campaign period.

Outside of the Setel Credit campaign, Setel’s Refer a friend programme give you and your referral a MYR5 reward when they make their first fuel purchase worth MYR30.

Best way to refuel your vehicle

Setel is a seamless, frictionless e-payment solution for fuel, first introduced in 2018 at select Petronas stations. It is now available at over 700 Petronas stations across the country.

The app is amazingly simple to use. You can search for the nearest Petronas station to refuel and make your petrol purchase right from the comfort of your car. The app is integrated with Petronas’ Mesra Loyalty rewards system so each fuel purchase will earn you rewards points. Additionally, you can use Mesra points to pay for your fuel purchase, directly from the app.

The app will also keep you informed with weekly fuel price updates.

Setel recently received approval for its own e-wallet license from Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and consequently increased its e-wallet size from MYR200 to MYR500.

You can top-up your e-wallet with credit/debit cards or online banking, and you can choose to auto-reload from a binded credit/debit card when the balance drops below a set threshold.

You will get up to 10 per cent cashback when you top-up your Setel e-wallet through qualified credit cards issued by Ambank, CIMB, Citi, Hong Leong Bank, RHB Bank, and UOB.
