Adobe’s high-powered keynote on the first day of its Adobe MAX creativity conference saw exciting announcements including new products like Adobe XD, Project Felix, and Adobe Spark. It revealed Adobe Sensei, a new framework that leverages on machine learning and artificial intelligence powers some of Creative Cloud’s new features. Its expansive Creative Cloud meanwhile, gets a plethora of feature enhancements and central to the suite of apps is Adobe Stock and Typekit.
Adobe Stock and Typekit are essential elements in Adobe’s Marketplace – one of Adobe’s four pillars. Adobe Stock is unique – it’s the industry’s first stock content service directly integrate in the content creation process and accessible through Creative Cloud.
Now, Reuters, the world’s largest international multimedia news provider is bringing its entire photo and video collection to Adobe Stock. The milestone announcement will let Adobe customers to view and license Reuters photos and videos covering news, sports, entertainment and major events across the globe. Video footage also includes its archive library of historical news footage. This is said to be over a million news clips.
The addition of Reuters content dramatically expands the range of stock assets made available to Creative Cloud apps. There are currently over 60 million royalty-free commercial photos, videos, illustrations, graphics, 3D assets and templates available in Adobe Stock.
With Adobe Stock, creatives can search and license stock assets inside their tools of choice, be it Photoshop CC or Illustrator CC.
In addition, artists and designers can sell their creative creations through Adobe Stock’s new contributor site, just launched at Adobe MAX.
In Malaysia, Adobe Stock is available only to enterprise customers and Creative Teams. Adobe is said to be making this available to individual customers in the future. No timeline was quoted. Malaysian creatives however, can still submit to be sold at Adobe Stock.
The Reuters integration into Adobe Stock is expected to be available in the first half of 2017.
