Studio Ghibli: Princess Mononoke

With video conferences and chats becoming the new normal amidst social lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic, many creatives have released artworks to improve “virtual sceneries”. And now…brace yourself…Studio Ghibli has released a set of video wallpaper background to spice up your next virtual comms.

The renowned Japanese animation studio has released a set of eight wallpaper backgrounds–iconic scenes from its best works. This includes Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Arrietty, The Tale of Princess Kaguya, Laputa’s Castle in the Sky, Nausicca of the Valley of the Wind, Ponyo, and my favourite–the giant Nightwalker forest spirit from Princess Mononoke.

These backgrounds can be used for free for web and TV applications, whether for teleconferencing or distance learning. They are strictly not to be used for commercial purposes or for the promotion of companies and products.
