Netflix rolls out mobile previews

Netflix Mobile Previews

You’re hooked on Netflix. I know. You’re not alone. I don’t know about you, but because of the sheer amount of content the leading streaming service has, it’s sometimes challenging to find and decide what you want to watch next. Here’s where mobile previews come in.
One of the best ways to know if a movie or new series suits your tastes is to watch a quick trailer.

This is exactly what Netflix mobile previews are.

Having been in development for a year and been in testing, it’s now ready to roll out to users. As mentioned in a previous article, the nifty feature is launching on iOS first, then coming later to Android.

Netflix Mobile Previews

Mobile previews are a fun, simple way to learn about a new piece of content on Netflix, and it’s a great way to help you find something awesome even faster.

A preview lasts about 30 seconds and is presented in a vertical format. I know how you may feel about vertical video, but it’s for a good reason. You can then watch it without turning your phone.

Previews are show like a slideshow, so if there’s something you like, just tap play or add it to your list.

Not your type? Simply swipe away or tap the screen to move to the next preview. It’s starting to sound like Tinder for movies.

It was last year that Neflix introduced video previews to the TV experience. Video previews help users find new content quicker, while reducing browsing time.

Similarly, mobile previews will change the way we find content on our mobile phones. Mobile previews are quick to load and is personalised to your taste.
