Microsoft’s latest Surface Laptop Go is now available for purchase in Malaysia via commercial authorised resellers and authorised retailers. The lightest and most affordable Surface notebook to date starts at MYR2,758.
The Surface Laptop Go packs a 12.4-inch PixelSense touchscreen display, large precision trackpad and a full-size keyboard with 1.3mm key travel. It comes in a sleek, durable and lightweight body with a Platinum metal finish.
It weighs just 1,110g and measures 15.69mm at its thinnest point.
The notebook offers fast and secure sign-in, with the integrated Fingerprint Power Button with One Touch supporting Windows Hello (select models).
OneTouch also provides fast, secured access to OneDrive Personal Vault files and more.
Under the hood, the Surface Laptop Go is powered by up to the 10th Generation Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor with Intel UHD graphics, coupled with up to 16GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of storage. The entry level model features just 4GB RAM and utilises slow 64GB eMMC flash storage. The best value model looks to be the 8GB RAM + 256GB SSD model which will set you back MYR4,288.
Battery life is rated to up to 13 hours with the support for fast charging. It comes bundled with a 39W power brick.
In terms of audio visual, the Surface Laptop Go packs a built-in 720p HD camera and dual far-field Studio Mics with Omnisonic Speaker and Dolby Audio surround for an immersive audio experience.
Connectivity-wise, the device offers WiFi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.0.
The notebook offers a single USB-C port, as well as USB-A, 3.5mm headphone jack and a Surface Connect port.
Surface for Business
Surface for Business devices provide purpose built features for commercial customers including enterprise-grade security and leading modern management with Autopilot, Surface Enterprise Management Mode (SEMM) and Microsoft InTune.
