Alongside the Mi A3, Xiaomi also unveiled the next generation Mi Smart Band 4. The new fitness tracker now comes with an all-new full colour AMOLED display and lasts up to 20 days on a single charge.
According to the latest data from IDC, Xiaomi is the number one wrist-worn wearable company by shipment volume (Q1 2019). That’s mighty impressive, seeing that its competitors are heavyweights in the arena—none other than Apple and Fitbit.
The Mi Smart Band 4 retains the familiar sleek and lightweight design of old, but adds an all-new intuitive user interface for easy navigation. It also has an automatic band lock feature when removed from your wrist. The strap is made from hypoallergenic thermoplastic elastomer band material and is offered in black, blue, orange, red and pink colour ways.
The biggest change is the new 0.95-inch full colour AMOLED display with 120×240 pixel resolution. The display pushes 400 nits of brightness, so will offer good legibility under direct sunlight. Crafted in durable 2.5D tempered glass with an anti-fingerprint coating, the new display is complemented by an all-new user interface that lets you conveniently check your fitness stats, view messages and notifications, 7-day weather forecast, and more.
Two other key highlights include the 135mAh battery that keeps the fitness band juiced for up to 20 days of use on a single charge.
Rated at 5 ATM, the band is water resistant up to 50m.
The Mi Smart Band 4 accurately monitors steps, distance traveled, calories burned, heart rate and sleep. The heart rate monitor now runs 24/7 automatically. The band also supports different sports modes like walking, running, cycling and the newly added swim tracking mode. The swim tracking mode can monitor length, time, swim strokes, SWOLF (swimming efficiency), and more.
Pricing and availability
The Mi Smart Band 4 retails for MYR149 and is available via Lazada and Shopee as well as Authorised Mi Stores starting today, 31 July 2019.
