This Lenovo laptop backpack is made from 34 recycled plastic bottles

Lenovo Eco Pro Backpack

In celebration of World Environment Day on 5 June, Lenovo has released a limited-edition backpack–the Eco Pro Backpack. As its namesake suggests, it’s no ordinary backpack. Conceived, designed and made with sustainability in mind, this eco-friendly carrier contains over 83 per cent of recycled materials.

Built with recycled polyester, equivalent to 34 plastic water bottles, the backpack is also GRS-certified, meaning the recycled materials used are responsibly sourced and processed with minimal harm done to the environment.

The backpack comes in a single colourway—green and will fit up to 15.6-inch notebooks (yes the new Lenovo Legion 7i, too). It weighs 0.8kg and has a limited lifetime warranty, managed by Targus.

The Eco Pro Backpack retails at MYR383 (~USD89.60). It is available now in Malaysia, Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The new backpack joins a host of other Lenovo accessories, including wireless keyboard, workstation docks, and travel hubs that are sustainable and produced with recyclable materials.

Lenovo today uses closed loop post-consumer recycled content (CL-PCR) in 66 products and has used more than 9.5 million kg of CL-PCR as part of its overall use of almost 11 million kg (gross) of post-consumer content (PCC) since 2005. The company continues to grow its efforts towards the use of sustainable materials.
