HP ends 2015 with a bang, introduces delicious line-up of premium notebooks

HP Reinventing Notebook launch

It’s almost unfathomable that we’ve come to the tail-end of 2015. This year has been a fantastic year for tech, with exciting announcements all year round. HP, however, isn’t going off for holidays just yet. It has just released five new delicious notebooks for the Malaysian market, built with the latest 6th Gen Intel Core processors and running Windows 10.

The introduction of the new HP Spectre x2, limited edition Spectre x360, HP ENVY notebook, HP Pavilion Gaming notebook and an exclusive Star Wars Special Edition notebook showcases the strong collaboration between HP, Intel and Microsoft.

HP Reinventing Notebook launch

The year has seen the big launch of Microsoft’s best operating system yet – Windows 10 – in July. Since then, over 110 million devices are already running the new OS globally.

The icing on the cake for the year, is Intel’s 6th Generation Core processor platform – enabling even thinner, lighter, more powerful devices with excellent battery life.

HP Spectre x2

HP Spectre x2: Beautiful detachable

If a tablet form factor is what you need, without compromising on performance and productivity, then the HP Spectre x2 would be perfect. It’s super thin at just 8mm and lightweight at 850g.

With the metal keyboard attached, it’s still the thinnest 2-in-1 PC HP has ever made.

The unique U-shaped kickstand lets the tablet stand up at your preferred angle, with or without the keyboard attached.

Powered by the 6th Gen Intel Core m3 processor, it delivers up to 10 hours of battery life.

Expect accessories like the HP Active Pen (for drawing, writing, note-taking) to come soon.

HP Spectre x360

HP Spectre x360 Limited Edition

The limited edition Spectre x360 is beautiful. The convertible notebook features a 13.3-inch Full HD display, encased in a metal chassis, finished in Ash Silver with Copper. A perfect celebration of Bang & Olufsen’s 90th anniversary.

Under the hood, the Spectre x360 gets gutsy 6th Gen Intel Core i5 and i7 processors with SSD storage up to 256GB.

It weighs just 1.48kg and measures 15.9mm thin. Move between four modes – notebook, stand, tent or tablet. Battery life is good for up to 12 hours.

HP ENVY 13

The thinnest and lightest HP ENVY yet

HP’s popular ENVY range trims the fat and get Intel’s latest processors, Quad HD+ displays and Bang & Olufsen audio. The 13.3-inch HP ENVY is the thinnest and lightest ENVY yet. It comes with HP TrueVision webcam with dual array mics with noise cancellation technology, as well as a backlit keyboard.

A fingerprint reader enables Windows Hello for quick, secure authentication.

HP Gaming Notebook

HP Pavilion Gaming notebook: Performance gaming for the masses

While I’d settle for the hardcore HP Omen gaming notebook, not everyone needs that kind of performance. Hence, there’s the HP Pavilion Gaming notebook – an affordable Windows 10-based gaming PC. It features a 15.6-inch Full HD display, 6th Gen Intel Core i5 or i7 processors, up to 16GB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX950M GPU and 1TB 5,400rpm SATA drive.

There’s a backlit keyboard (it glows green!) and it also comes with Bang & Olufsen audio for a more immersive gaming experience.

HP Star Wars Special Edition notebook

Star Wars Special Edition

As the world awaits for 17 December, HP has partnered with Lucasfilm to give you a taste of the Galactic Empire. Choosing to embrace the Dark Side, the Star Wars Special Edition notebook features a “battle-worn” skin with “Galactic Empire” written on the hinge. Additionally, there’s the iconic Stormtroopers on the keyboard deck.

It’s all over Star Wars, with the touchpad mirroring the X-Wing Star Fighter Guidance System.

HP Star Wars Special Edition notebook

Even the packaging gets the full Star Wars treatment. Top it off with the Star Wars Special Edition Mouse and Star Wars Special Edition Sleeve.

In terms of hardware, the Star Wars Edition Notebook packs 6th Gen Intel Core i5 and i5 processors, a 15.6-inch Full HD display and Bang & Olufsen audio. Battery life is rated at up to 7 hours.
