Intel has stealthily launched a competitor to AMD’s Ryzen 3 3300X—the Core i3-10100F, a potential budget gaming champion. The budget chip, as reported by Tom’s Hardware, was not part of Intel’s initial 10th Gen Comet Lake-S lineup.
Intel has officially unwrapped its latest 11th Gen “Tiger Lake” processors for notebooks, which bring outstanding graphics performance with integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics, Thunderbolt 4 and PCIe 4.0 support, Wi-Fi 6, improved battery life and capabilities. The company calls its new generation processor “the best processor for thin & light” notebooks.
As expected at its annual next@Acer Global Press Conference (GPC), Acer unleashed a barrage of new hardware, unsurprisingly led by its Predator gaming line. The company introduced significant updates to four of its popular gaming notebooks: the Predator Helios 700, Predator Helios 300, Predator Triton 300, and Nitro 7. The new notebooks now offer up to the latest 10th Gen Intel Core H-series processors and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super GPUs, offering desktop-class gaming performance to play the most demanding AAA games.
The rumours are true. Apple is making the massive transition from Intel architecture to its custom-designed ARM chips across all its hardware products. You can expect to see the first Apple Silicon Macs in the market by end of the year. But guess what, there’s already a Mac mini with an Apple A12Z Bionic chip.
Mark this date: 23 June 2020. In one of four seismic shifts in its colourful history, Apple announced at Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC20) that it will transition the Mac to its own ARM-based silicon. The first Mac with Apple silicon is expected to ship out by end of the year and Apple has quoted a two-year timeline for a full transition. Apple still has new Intel-based Macs in development.
It’s not all doom and gloom in the world caused by the COVID-19 outbreak. Tech brands continue to churn out new products despite the sombre mood, albeit sans physical launch events. Acer today announced two new gaming products—the Predator Triton 500 and Acer Nitro 5 gaming notebooks. The polarising duo packs the latest 10th Gen Intel Core processors, newly-announced NVIDIA GeForce RTX Super and GTX GPUs, alongside enhanced thermal performance.
