If you’re a fitness freak or sports enthusiast who love the outdoors, the new Garmin fenix 6 series should pique your interest. Garmin’s next generation flagship GPS multisport smartwatch lineup boasts a Power Manager for longer battery life, and the innovative Body Battery energy monitoring feature that helps you manage your workout schedules, rest times and sleep.
The fenix 6 series consists of three models—fenix 6S, fenix 6 and fenix 6X (two variants with a headlining premium fenix 6X Pro Solar).
The regular fenix 6 comes with either a Silver case with a black band or Carbon Gray DLC with a Black Band. It offers a 1.3-inch sunlight-readable display with the Carbon Gray variant offering a scratch-resistant sapphire lens for additional durability.
The fenix 6S is a lightweight model that comes also with a 1.3-inch sunlight-readable display and offered in three trims: Silver with Black Band, Rose Gold-tone with Powder Gray Band, and Carbon Gray DLC with Black Band. Aside from the Silver with Black Band variant, the fenix 6S features scratch-resistant sapphire lens.
The range-topping fenix 6X features a rugged design with a 1.4-inch sunlight-readable display, 36 percent bigger than its predecessor. The fenix 6X Pro Solar edition is the first Garmin GPS watch to feature a solar charging function within the Power Manager feature.
Its solar charging feature is possible thanks to Power Glass, a transparent solar charging lens that harnesses the sun energy to extgended battery life. You can easily check the latest solar input on your wrist, so you know how much solar energy has been obtained. Battery life on the fenix 6X Pro Solar is amazing—21 days plus an additional three days with solar charging.
Power Manager
The new customisable Power Manager allows you to see and control how the various setting and sensors on the fenix 6 series impact battery life. You can adjust battery saving modes which disables certain features to extend battery life on-the-fly.
