While the new Fitbit Sense stole the show at Fitbit’s fall product launch, the smartwatch and fitness tracker maker also introduced practical upgrades to its popular Fitbit Versa and Inspire series. The Fitbit Versa 3 now features a built-in GPS and Active Zone Minutes, as well as the ability to answer calls, thanks to a built-in mic and speaker.

Building upon the foundation of the best-selling Versa 2, the new Versa 3 adds new health, fitness and convenience features. Beyond just tracking steps, the Versa 3 now boasts on-device GPS, in-app workout intensity maps, enhanced PurePulse 2.0 technology, and Active Zone Minutes.

The integration of a mic and speaker lets you now take quick phone calls, send calls to voicemail and adjust call volume, all from your wrist. These new abilities will be available soon.

To add to that, Fitbit has added Google Assistant to complement Amazon Alexa support. As you may know, Fitbit is now part of the Google family and the addition of Google Assistant is expected.

Like the Versa 2, the Versa 3 allows you to make secure payment from your wrist with Fitbit Pay. The feature is available in select countries across the globe.

The new smartwatch also features new curated playlists from Deezer, Pandora and Spotify as well as an updated user interface.

Battery life is an impressive six days on a single charge and the device now supports fast charging. Fitbit claims a 12-minute quick charge provides a full day of use.

What’s also cool is that the Fitbit Versa 3 and Fitbit Sense share the same magnetic charger.

The Versa 3 comes with a variety of cross-compatible accessories with easy, quick-release band attachments that come in a variety of colours and styles. This includes accessories developed with designer brands such as Pendleton and Victor Glemaud.
