Dialog Hub, after operating its gadget business primarily online, has taken the bold step to open its maiden physical store in Subang Jaya. The flagship store will appeal to tech fans and gadget lovers with its wide array of smartphones and cameras, and at bargain prices too.
At the launch last week, we were treated to a demo of Liquipel, the state-of-the-art liquid repellent protective coating for smartphones. Don’t have a water-resistant phone? Liquipel it. Dialog Hub is an authorised distributor of the brand in Malaysia.
Based on nano technology, we saw two iPhones get sprayed with water, including into its ports. The process to waterproof a smartphone, according to Dialog Hub, takes about 45 minutes. Dialog Hub ran a promotion for its opening weekend and offered Liquipel for RM89 per device (retail price of RM189).
Smartphones and accessories are Dialog Hub’s bread-and-butter, and thanks to its origins in Hong Kong, it has access to the latest tech gadgets, some not readily available in Malaysia.
We were treated to a preview of the yet-to-be-released Xiaomi Mi TV (RM3,999), LG G Watch, Xiaomi Mi 4 and OnePlus One. There were also Mi Power Banks of various colours on display and for sale – so no need to hustle online to purchase.
According to a spokesperson from Dialog Hub, the OnePlus One smartphone has been flying off the shelves. Grab one from as low as RM1,099 from the store.
While many devices are grey imports. Dialog Hub offers a two-year international warranty which gives consumers total piece of mind.
Dialog Hub is planning to bring other exciting devices including the Moto 360 smartwatch and Google Glass.
Exciting times ahead for gadget lovers. If you’re around Subang Jaya anytime soon, drop in at Dialog Hub. And… bring a wad of cash or credit cards. 🙂
