Say hello to JOI 8, Malaysia first local branded tablet powered by Intel and running Microsoft Windows 8.1 with Bing. The 8-inch tablet is SNS Network Sdn Bhd’s first device, and a 10-inch variant is already in the works.

The JOI 8 packs a Intel Atom quad-core processor (Z3735E), 1GB DDR3 RAM, 16GB storage (with expandable microSD), 8-inch HD IPS display (1280 x 800), 5MP/2MP rear/front cameras, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a mini HDMI port. The tablet runs Windows 8.1 with Bing, giving you the full Windows experience.

Buyers of the tablet will be chuffed to know that SNS is throwing in a 1 year subscription to Office 365 Personal as well as 1TB of free storage on OneDrive.

Pricing and availability

The JOI 8 retails at RM499. Consumers can place order for the tablet at Plaza Low Yat from 4-7 September 2014. After the dates, consumers can make pre-orders at SNS Network Sdn Bhd outlets nationwide.
