WD has revamped its popular My Book line of external desktop drives to provide as much as 4TB storage capacity and enhanced data protection. The new My Book family also includes automatic back-up with Dropbox integration, full backup and secure data deletion capabilities.
The new My Book lines are available in 2TB, 3TB and 4TB capacities and built-in with USB 3.0.
WD SmartWare Pro automatic back-up software with hardware encryption, password protection and Dropbox integration for added protection against theft and natural disasters.
WD Edition of Acronis True Image enables users to execute full system backup and secure deletion of files and programs. ATI WD can also be used for disaster recovery in event of a fatal system crash, helping to recover the entire PC including files, software and preferences.
Pricing and Availability
My Book and My Book for Mac hard drives are available from selected retailers. The drives are distributed by Amble Action Sdn Bhd and Eternal Asia. The My Book 4TB is priced at RM599 (SRP). All My Book drives are covered by a 3-year limited warranty.
