Portable projectors aren’t new. However, none look quite as good as this new award-winning beauty from ViewSonic – the M1 Ultra-Portable LED projector. Its sleek, delivers outstanding visuals and comes with built-in dual harman/kardon speakers.

The palm-sized ViewSonic M1 comes integrated with a battery that provides up to six hours of power, 16GB of built-in memory and a range of I/O ports for connectivity. The LED technology offers up to 30,000 hours of usage and boasts 250 lumens of brightness.

It offers 120,000:1 contrast ratio, and the best part is its short-throw f/1.7 lens that enables it display large visuals in constricted spaces. It has a throw ratio of 1.2, with a minimum throw distance of 1m (38-inch visual). At 2.6m, it can project 100-inch images.

It supports resolutions from VGA (640×480) to FullHD (1920×1080), with a native resolution of WVGA (854×480).

Once the lens is uncovered, the project automatically powers on. The projector also has a safety auto-off feature that powers down when objects get too close to the lens. Useful if you have kids or pets wandering close and looking to the lens.

ViewSonic M1Integrated dual speakers by harman/kardon deliver outstanding sound whether you’re in a room or outdoors watching movies, playing music or gaming. By the way, there’s also a music mode which transforms the projector into a harman/kardon speaker with the lens turned off.

Despite its diminutive size, the M1 offers expansive connectivity option including a built-in microSD slot, USB 2.0, USB Type-C, audio out and HDMI. The USB Type-C lets you stream videos and project content directly from your phone or tablet. With built-in 16GB of memory, you can also save your favourite content directly onto the projector itself.

There are simple controls on the main projector body, while the rest of the features are handled by a bundled remote control.
