WD introduced the world’s first portable Thunderbolt dual-drive solution last month, aimed at creative professionals and enthusiasts on the Mac platform. Available in 2TB and 4TB configurations, My Passport Pro offers RAID functionality with input-output performance of up to 233MB/s. The drive solution is powered via the integrated Thunderbolt cable. WD Malaysia has sent us a unit for review, and while we put the drive through its paces, enjoy the unboxing pics after the jump.
Thunderbolt (codenamed Light Peak) is developed by Intel, and is superior to Firewire 800 and USB 3.0.
My Passport Pro 2TB retails at RM999 and the 4TB is priced at RM1,399.
