The Penang party experience continues from the partylicious Day 1, to Day 2. Surprisingly, no one suffered any hangovers from last night’s barrage of fun, party and drinks. In the day time on the second day, everything was pretty free and easy. Some of the Advertlets bloggers went for a quick lunch then caught the Twilight-ish movie – “Red Riding Hood” at TGV, the first cinema in Malaysia to have beanies as seats! Quite an experience. Shame about the movie though. Crap is all I can say about it.
Towards later in the evening, thing’s got more interesting. We were chauffeured in our pimp mobile to QEII, by the pier, where we had a lavish Chinese dinner at CHIN’s. Award winning CHIN’S was first opened in London in 1987. This classy establishment took England’s restaurant scene by storm, winning two highly coveted and prestigious awards – ‘Best Restaurant of The Year’ by What’s On in London Magazine and ‘The Best Chinese Restaurant in UK’ by Stores Magazine- New York, USA. CHIN’S Restaurant was also recognized as “Best of the Best” by Good life Magazine, UK.
The venue offered a clever blend of traditional and contemporary. Beautiful ambience. Dinner was a 10-course extravaganza although it felt more like 14! We had some pretty interesting stuff including an eclectic mix of duck, fish, poultry and seafood. Yums.
With our tummies fulfilled, we topped it off with a couple of rounds of Hennessy before making our way to our party destination – MOIS Dance Club. Dinner did take a while, so initial plans to go bar-hopping was scrapped. No matter, because MOIS proved to be nothing but fun. It wasn’t long before we were bopping and hopping to the beats of the venue – a mix of hip hop, club and R&B. We drank and partied till 1-ish before we called it a night.

What’s a partying experience if it doesn’t end up at a food joint after? And rightfully so, just like any hardcore partygoer would, we went for supper! Venice ordered us 10 bowls of famous prawn noodles in between fried oysters and lobak. Talk about gluttony. It was all good though.
It’s been an awesome two days. Hold up for Day 3!
