He’s almost famous. He’s Indian. He’s Canadian. He’s also Chinese, Jamaican and whatever he wants to be. And he’ll make you laugh. A lot. And he’ll laugh with others, at you. A lot. He’s none other than Russell Peters, the third highest-paid comedian in the world (Forbes 2015). And if you haven’t heard, is making a pitstop in Kuala Lumpur as part of the second leg of his ‘Almost Famous World Tour’ on 10 and 11 April 2015 at Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam.

The big tour kicked off in September 2014 and has tickled bellies in Canada, USA, New Zealand, South Africa, Australia and India. Malaysia will be his final stop in Asia.

Russell draws a phenomenal crowd, and tickets for the 10 April show sold out in a few days, with 90% of tickets sold in less than 24 hours. That’s 8,000 seats ladies and gentlemen. He’s notorious for selling out shows all over the world. His unique and sometimes sensitive but hilarious cultural anecdotes has made him the household name he is today. The Canadian-born Indian has made more than 100 million people fall of their chairs, on YouTube.

What’s cool about his tour here is that it will feature all new material from Russell and that covers observational comedy, highlighting his opinions on ethnic and cultural stereotypes, jobs, the usage of cell phones and dating. Expect his signature lightning fast improv and crowd interaction. If you’re close to the stage, get ready to be part of the fun (joke) too!
