Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) now only MYR1,099

Samsung Galaxy A7 2018

Samsung’s first triple-camera phone – the Galaxy A7 was launched in October last year, and now the South Korean smartphone maker is giving you more reason to pick one up. The three-eyed wonder wonder is now MYR200 off its original retail price of MYR1,299, effective immediately.

The mid-range phone has a glossy glass back and for the first time, features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner cum power button ala Sony Xperia.

It’s offered in four colour options – Black, Blue, Pink and Gold.

Samsung Galaxy A7 2018It sports a 6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display (2220×1080) with a screen aspect ratio of 18.5:9. You can breathe a sigh of relief – there is no notch.

Samsung Galaxy A7 2018Under the hood, it’s powered by the octa-core Exynos 7885 processor with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There’s a dedicated microSD slot in case you find the inbuilt storage insufficient (up to 512GB).

It features a commendable 3,300mAh battery and runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.

Samsung Galaxy A7 2018The phone’s claim to fame is, of course, it’s trio of cameras on the rear. It consists of a 24MP f/1.7 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide f/2.4 camera and a 5MP f/2.2 depth camera.

The 8MP sensor is interesting – it comes with a 13mm ultra-wide lens that feaures a 120-degree field of view.

On the front, you’ll find a 24MP fixed-focus selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture, complemented by an LED flash.

The camera system boasts AI-powered Scene Optimiser, a feature found on Samsung’s flagship devices, as well as Pro Lighting Mode and Flaw Detection.
