Sharp is reportedly shipping its LCD TV panels to assembler Foxconn, who will begin building Apple‘s anticipated Apple iTV television set. According to Chinese news site 21cbh.com, the scheduled arrival from Sharp has been pushed earlier, likely to make it available before the 2012 holiday season.

Sharp is already a major supplier for Apple which includes Retina displays for the new iPad. Some have suggested that Sharp’s new Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide (IGZO) panels would be suitable for Apple.

A full-fledged HDTV from Apple coming soon? The signs certainly are there, some pretty clear. Sources also hinted that the Apple TV will come with ‘motion detection technology”. Coupled with the App Store and iTunes Store rich, thriving apps and content, it’s only a matter of ‘when’, not ‘if’ anymore.
