Pre-order the OPPO Find X for MYR100

OPPO Find X launch

No smartphone has conjured this much drool on keyboards this year as much as the OPPO Find X. OPPO’s latest flagship is futuristic, if you could call it that, and priced at a premium. If anything, it’s desirable, it makes geeks happy and if you’re interested, you can pre-order the device right now from OPPO’s official store on Lazada Malaysia.

All it takes is MYR100 to place an online booking. The price, however, has not been revealed just yet. This pre-order surprise is a strategy OPPO has employed with other devices, so it isn’t much of a surprise.

The surprise, perhaps, may be the Malaysian price of the OPPO Find X. We’ll find out tomorrow at the official launch. By the way, just so you know – at its global launch in Paris, the device was priced at EUR999, so expect local pricing to be MYR4,000 and a bit.

The OPPO Find X will be available in only one configuration, which is 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Colour options include Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue.

OPPO Find X

As a quick refresher, the sleek curvy all-screen Find X features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ dual-curved display which boasts an astounding 93.8 percent screen-to-body ratio, the world’s highest.

Under the hood, OPPO finally gets its hands on a real flagship processor with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset.

The beautiful glass and metal fused device gets a large 3,730mAh battery that supports VOOC fast charging via USB Type-C.

What has geeks tongues wagging is the super special sliding mechanism for the camera system. When not in use, the top assembly is tucked neatly into the chassis. But when you fire up the camera app, or need to unlock the phone, the top assembly slides up automatically to reveal the front or rear dual-camera setup.

It’s pretty sexy.

Anyway, the OPPO Find X is happening on 17 July 2018. Stay tuned for pricing and availability updates. Also, we’ll have a chance to see the OPPO Find X Lamborghini Edition as well, apparently.

Oh, pre-order from Lazada here.
