Packet One Networks (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (“P1”), Malaysia’s first 4G service provider, has unveiled its latest EXTRA QUOTA promotion which delivers high quota broadband plans to consumers at affordable prices.
The quota upgrade is a reflection of P1’s commitment to the ever-changing demands of the everyday consumer. An average Malaysian broadband user uses an average of 17GB of data per month on video streaming, social media networking and content downloading.
The promo covers P1’s award-winning home broadband plan ‘ForHome’, the 2-in-1 ‘OnePlan’ and ‘ToGo’ plans.
ForHome users will enjoy 50% more quota for its 12- and 24-month plans. Users on the 24-month plan will be rewarded further with up to 5GB more monthly quota. In addition, users will receive free phone service and up to 300 minutes of monthly free calls to any fixed, mobile plus selected IDD numbers.
OnePlan subscribers can opt to add RM30 to their monthly bill for on-the-bo broadband access with the free bundled MiFi device. P1’s 4G MiFi provides connectivity to up to 8 WiFi-enabled devices on the go. Read our review on P1’s MX-230 MiFi device.
For users currently on the ToGo plan, P1 is throwing in an additional 5GB more quota monthly, and comes with free MiFi for its mid and high plans.
It’s important to note that P1’s data quotas are ‘all-time’ quotas – can be utilised day and night without time cap limitations.
P1 currently serves over 517,000 subscribers and is one of telecommunication providers to be allocated the 2.6 Ghz TD-LTE spectrum. P1 is also one of the Steering Committee Members of the Global TD-LTE Initiatve (GTI) and are expected to roll-out its 4G LTE services in second half of this year.
