Refreshed MaxisONE Prime: Unlimited data for mobile and home fibre broadband

MaxisONE Prime

While convergence champion Telekom Malaysia (TM) continues to try to get its act together, rivals are seemingly doing a better job in executing new, more value-packed broadband plans. Maxis, who introduced the unique all-in-one – MaxisONE Prime plan last October is now upping the ante further by lowering the barrier of entry to its refreshed converged plan.

Previously targeted at the upper end of the market, MaxisONE Prime combines home fibre broadband with a MaxisONE 188 mobile plan. Offered with fibre speeds of up to 100Mbps, one big plus of MaxisONE Prime is its always-on data assurance where the supplied home broadband router also comes with a 4G SIM. If ever your fibre connection goes down, the router automatically hooks up to 4G LTE so there’s never any downtime.

Both fibre and mobile connections are “endless,” Maxis’ politically-correct description for unlimited. Unlimited, naturally, is subject to a fair usage policy (FUP) once your mobile data exceeds 300GB. Once exceeded, the quality of your video streaming services may be capped to SD quality.

MaxisONE PrimePrimed for greatness?

The great news for Maxis customers is that its all-in-one plan is now refreshed, better, and offers even more value.

Now you can pair a 30Mbps home fibre plan (MYR89 per month) with an entry-level MaxisONE 98 plan, which is half the price of what was offered with its original plans. For a total of MYR187 per month, you’ll be enjoying 30Mbps home fibre broadband and mobile connectivity with unlimited data, calls and SMS. It’s pretty compelling.

You can of course go all the way up to 100Mbps (MYR129 per month) if you need higher speeds, and pair this to any MaxisONE 98, 128, 158 or 188 plan.

The plan will give you unlimited data quota that can be shared with supplementary lines. Each Share Line costs MYR48 per month. For the MOP 98 plan, you can only add on Share Line. The MOP 128 plan allows for two Share Lines while you can add three and four for MOP 158 and MOP 188 plans respectively.

MaxisONE PrimeThere’s more

As a MaxisONE Prime subscriber, you’ll also get other perks.

That’s not all, you can add a smartphone to the mix. If you subscribe to a MaxisONE Plan 128 and above with at least one Share Line, you’re entitled to a 50 percent discount on Zerolution360 membership. You can pick from a selection of latest flagship smartphones including the Apple iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, Huawei Mate 20, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, Samsung Galaxy Note9 and more.
