In conjunction with the highly-anticipated launch of Stranger Things 3 premiering today, 4 July 2019, Netflix recently sat down with Lyn-Hui Ong to discuss her recent fan art for the global #StrangerRewind project.

Lyn, who hails from Penang, is a graphic designer and children’s book illustrator, and one of 18 artists around the world who were challenged to interpret 18 different show episodes from Stranger Things Season 1 and Season 2.

The talented illustrator summed up her experience working on the #StrangerRewind project in three words: Unreal. Insane. I still don’t believe it (OK, more than three words).

Asked on what made her watch the she replied, “…when you see a girl with a shaved head, you know like, “What the hell is this?” and you just get attracted and hooked.”

She created a poster interpreting the Stranger Things Season 2, Chapter Two: Trick or Treat. Check it out below:

The reason she picked the episode was because the cast were dressed in Ghostbusters outfits and thought that was fun to interpret. If you look closely, the artwork shows a split of the real world and The Upside Down.
