Love, Peace, Empathy. Kurt Cobain (February 20, 1967 – April 5, 1994)

Kurt Donald Cobain, lead singer and guitarist of grunge band Nirvana, was also known as “the spokesmen of a generation”, responsible for cult anthems like “Lithium”, “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and so much more. Nirvana was “the flagship band” of Generation X, but Cobain was often uncomfortable and frustrated with that label.

RIP, Kurt Cobain

Nirvana’s final studio album was In Utero (1993). Cobain struggled with heroin addiction, illness and depression, and on April 8, 1994, Cobain was found dead at his home in Seattle, with a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head. The good, as they say, die young. Kurt was no exception. He was as talented and genius as much as he was tortured. Definitely one of my most idolised, admired musicians, aside of Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam.

Love, peace and empathy. RIP, Kurt.
