LG has released another mobile product, this time, a pico or pocket projector – the LG MiniBeam PG60G. The MiniBeam brings LG’s advanced display technology truly mobile, conveniently connecting to smart devices via MHL or Wireless Display (WiDi), or a USB thumbdrive.
The pico projector market isn’t a new one, but LG brings the benchmark up a notch, packing a bright 500 ANSI lumens, bringing an 100-inch class viewing experience. The MiniBeam is powered by super long-lasting LEDs that can last up to 30,000 hours, with usability of up to 20 years with four hours of viewing a day.
Weighing just 0.67kg, the MiniBean is truly mobile and compact, fitting the size of your palm – perfect for business or leisure travel. The pocket device has already garnered numerous awards, namely reddot design award’13 and International Design Excellence Awards’13 (IDEA).
Being a mobile device, connectivity is paramount. And the MiniBeam certainly delivers in this area. You can plug a thumbdrive directly into the MiniBeam, or connect with real-time mirroring via a MHL cable or Wireless Display (Wi-Di). There’s also a HDMI port. The USB Host brings plug-and-play access to media like DivX, MP3, Photos and Office Files.
Included with the MiniBeam are two distinct cradles. One cradle acts as a portable battery, the first of its kind in the market. The second acts like a tripod, enabling you to enjoy home entertainment from your bed, with your favourite movie projected on the ceiling.
