Some people have all the luck. A lucky Lelong.my customer is one of the first owners of the new Proton X70 SUV in Malaysia. Lelong.my handed the keys of the yet-to-be-released SUV to 39-year old Denise Anak Julie from Sarawak at a prize-giving ceremony in conjunction with Lelong’s 20th anniversary.
Denise, a regular customer on the leading e-commerce platform, was the grand prize winner of Lelong’s “Shop and Win” contest, held in conjunction with the company’s 20th anniversary.
Proton’s first ever SUV is also the carmaker’s most technologically advanced vehicle in its fleet. Based on the Geely Boyue, the vehicle features voice command, a 360-camera for safe maneuvering, adaptive cruise control and intelligent high beam control.
The Proton X70 is offered in four variants: entry-level Standard 2WD, Executive 2WD, Executive AWD and Premium 2WD. All variants will feature a 1.8-litre TGDI turbo-charged four-cylinder petrol engine outputting 181hp and 285Nm of torque.

Colour options include Snow White, Armour Silver, Jet Grey, Cinnamon Brown, and Flame Red (options depends on vehicle variants). Interior trim options include black fabric, black leatherette, and the top-of-the-line brown nappa leather (Premium 2WD variant only).
The vehicle recently scored a 5-star safety rating from ASEAN NCAP (New Car Assessment Program from Southeast Asian Countries), beating even the Honda CR-V.

The “Shop and Win” contest was held from 13 August to 16 September 2018 and was a big hit with customers, according to Lelong. Customers only needed to spend a minimum of MYR60 on the website or mobile app to stand a chance to win the exclusive grand prize.
The contest also rewarded customers with other attractive prizes including vacation getaway deals worth up to MYR10,000.
Another 55 winners picked up other prizes such as Lelong.my’s exclusive 20th Anniversary Party Box, MYR200 vouchers, Fujfilm Mini Instax 9, mini drones and TGV Indulge experience from social media contests run during the 20th anniversary campaign.
