Having been teased and leaked for the past couple of months, PROTON today finally unwrapped not one, not two, but four special edition vehicles. The limited run cars include the Persona Black Edition and Exora Black Edition as well as Iriz R3 and Saga R3 Limited Edition models.
Ahead of the imminent Proton X50 launch on Tuesday, 27 October 2020, PROTON has released a slew of promo videos that showcase the SUV’s features including design, performance, safety, and infotainment system. The Proton X50 will be hosted virtually via a Facebook livestream, amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
PROTON today took the wraps off its second SUV (sport utility vehicle)—the Proton X50 at its plant in Tanjung Malim, Perak. Proton announces lower prices of its vehicles across the board following the government’s sales tax exemption of vehicles, as part of the Penjana Economic Recovery Plan. The sales tax exemption is effective from 15 June 2020 until 31 December 2020.

On 13 December 2019, the first 2020 Proton X70 rolled off the production line in Tanjung Malim, exactly one year and one day after the SUV was introduced in Malaysia. Malaysia’s best-selling C-segment premium SUV is now proudly locally-assembled, with the CKD variant set for the official launch soon.
