Kuala Lumpur, October 1, 2012 – Eight fleet-fingered visitors were awarded a brand new Ultrabook each as winners of Intel’s Catch & Win An Ultrabook contest held at Ultrabook City, Plaza Low Yat.

The Catch & Win An Ultrabook contest kicked off on July 19 this year in conjunction with the launch of Intel’s Ultrabook City.
The Ultrabook City is an all-new retail experience for Malaysians to discover Ultrabooks, a new category of mobile computers inspired by Intel. Visitors have the chance to play with the latest Ultrabook models from Acer, Asus, Samsung, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba, Sony and Fujitsu.
The Catch & Win An Ultrabook is an interactive mobile app challenge where consumers capture Ultrabook code markers around Plaza Low Yat to stand a chance win an Ultrabook every two weeks.
The speed contest saw over 9,000 attempts by contestants with the fastest record of 1.2 seconds achieved. Two Ultrabooks were given every fortnight to the fastest “catchers” throughout the contest period that concluded on 16 September.
Intel Malaysia is expected to be launching more fun activities at the Ultrabook City with Phase 2 of the contest.

The Ultrabook City at Plaza Low Yat is a test bed for Intel Malaysia. If the maiden concept store proves successful, the chip maker may look into opening more outlets in major cities in the future.

Kuala Lumpur, October 1, 2012 – Eight fleet-fingered visitors to Intel’s Ultrabook City at Plaza Low Yat recently walked away with a brand new Ultrabook™ each as winners of Intel’s Catch & Win An Ultrabook contest.
The Catch & Win An Ultrabook contest was announced earlier in July in conjunction with the launch of Intel’s Ultrabook City. The Ultrabook City is an all-new retail experience at Plaza Low Yat for Malaysian technology fans to discover Ultrabooks, a new category of devices which is the next generation of mobile computers. Ultrabooks, inspired by Intel, are thinner, lighter, secure and more responsive, offering great performance to enhance a user’s computing experience.
Since its launch, the contest has been the source of much frenzy and excitement at the Ultrabook City in Plaza Low Yat with consumers racing to capture Ultrabook markers throughout the building using an augmented reality interactive mobile app, so that they may be able to win the prize of an Ultrabook.
Vanessa Ng, Marketing Manager, Intel Malaysia said, “The new ultra sleek and ultra-responsive Ultrabook systems are now available with 3rd Generation Intel Core processors to deliver increased computing performances, and yet offer energy efficiency. The Catch & Win contest is our way of communicating these exciting features and enhancements of the Ultrabook to consumers. The contest has seen more than 9,400 attempts by the contestants, working quickly to be one of the top entries each fortnight to be in the running to win an Ultrabook. With the fastest record of 1.2 seconds achieved, eight Ultrabooks were awarded to the fastest “catchers”, where two Ultrabooks were given away every fortnight throughout the contest period which concluded on 16 September.
“The Catch & Win An Ultrabook contest was a fun contest unlike the other contests that I have entered in the past. You definitely have to be quick and sharp, just like the performance of an Ultrabook in order to capture the golden Ultrabook in order to win the contest,” said Chen Yong Feng who has won one of the eight Ultrabooks up for grabs.
