Lenovo Releases New Line of Notebooks and Hybrid Tablet

Lenovo recently announced its latest range of premium portables – the Lenovo Y410p, S410p Touch, S210 Touch and Miix 10 Tablet. The slowing global PC market last quarter did not stop the Chinese PC maker to grow with over 17.3% marketshare, an increase from 16.7% last quarter. Lenovo is currently the largest PC maker in the world, and also third in smart-connected devices (tablets, smartphones, PC products) (Gartner, IDC Data 2013).

Back in May this year, Intel Malaysia kicked off a PC Refresh campaign called ‘Generation Today’, encouraging Malaysian consumers to upgrade their ageing PCs to the latest offerings powered by Intel. I’ve been getting this question a lot of late — “What notebook should I get for under RM2,500?” I feel it’s not a bad budget these days, with the plethora of value devices being offered in the market. For a little over RM2,000 you are likely to find some good entry level towards mid-range notebooks. One such option could be the new Dell Vostro 5460. I received one for review courtesy of Dell recently and come out mighty impressed with this value-for-money workhorse.
