Are you an IKEA fan? Fancy a pre-fabricated, fully-furnished home? In the US at least, the Swedish furniture giant has teamed up with Oregon-based architecture firm Ideabox to launch IKEA’s first line of prefabricated houses called ‘Aktiv’ (Swedish for active). In typical IKEA fashion, the homes are eco-friendly, space-saving and carry a signature IKEA modern-look.

The homes are furnished with complete IKEA package inclusive of flooring, wardrobes and cabinets. Sweet!
One of the model homes on display costs US$79,500.
Will IKEA bring the ‘Aktiv’ concept of pre-fab, fully-furnished homes to Malaysia? I certainly hope so.
