Chelsea FC fans, rejoice! Now you can stay up-to-date with your favourite Blues team with the release of the Official Chelsea FC mobile app, available for Android and bada OS. Samsung, long-standing sponsor of Chelsea FC, has developed this handy app, available on Samsung Apps (www.samsungapps.com) for free. The app can be downloaded in 122 countries until May 2012.

The app will receive real-time information and content from matches across the Barclays Premier League, The FA Cup, Carling Cup and UEFA Champions League.

  • Daily video content.
  • Live match – text commentary, team line-ups, stats, plus live scores of matches
  • Fixtures – with the ability to allow you to add the fixtures directly to your calendar
  • Results and League table
  • Player profiles
  • Club info and history
  • My Chelsea – makes navigation simple, you can have all your favourite app content in one area

In addition, fans that pay for a Chelsea TV subscription will get exclusive additional access to match highlights, live audio match commentary and premium clips.

While I moan the premature exit of manager Andre Villas-Boas, I’m thrilled that there is a dedicated app for my favourite team. Before this, I’ve been using ESPN’s ScoreCentre app to track updates on the Blues.

Samsung has launched the highly anticipated application to ensure fans to enjoy a richer football experience through their smartphones. The application was developed as part of Samsung’s long-standing relationship with Chelsea Football Club.

The free application can be downloaded in 122 countries via www.samsungapps.com and until May 2012, the application will only be available on Samsung Apps exclusively.
