The honor machine continues to churn. Shortly after the introduction of the honor 7A, another budget device is set to make its way to Malaysian shores. The highly-accessible honor 7S will go on sale on 27 June and it’s expected to be priced under MYR500. Honor Malaysia is said to be offering free gifts for the first 500 buyers during the first round of sales.
The honor 7S is smaller than the honor 7A, equipped with a 5.45-inch HD+ FullView display (1440×720) that has an 18:9 screen ratio. Targeted at the value market, the device is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and basic 16GB of storage.
There’s microSD storage expansion, and the good news is that it features a triple slot tray that can house two nano-SIMs and a microSD card.
Being a budget device, there’s no fingerprint sensor which is a bit of a shame. But nonetheless, not a huge deal-breaker.
In the camera department, it rocks a 13MP main shooter with PDAF and LED flash, while the front comes with a sensible 5MP selfie-shooter with a smart LED selfie-light.
The honor 7S comes with a 3,020mAh battery that charges up via micro-USB.
The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.
It is making a debut in the Malaysian market on 27 June 2018, at 9AM. You can register your interest and stand a chance to win an honor 8.
