Freka Go is a pollution mask inspired by children, for children

Freka Go

UK-based ergonomic facewear brand Freka has announced the launch of an Indiegogo campaign for its latest product–Freka Go–the first facewear design inspired by children. The pollution mask is re-engineered for children and active urban dwellers, who are most exposed to air pollution.

Over 80% of the world’s urban population is exposed to air pollution, of which children are the most susceptible to the hazards of bad air.

Inspired by children, made for children

The problem with conventional face masks is that they are shrunk from adult sizes to a poor fitting version for children. This is what Freka Go aims to do better.

By first engineering the masks to the needs of children, comfort and functionality is assured. This is then scaled up to create an equally effective version for adults.

Freka Go balances functionality with comfort and style. Unlike regular masks, the internal exhalation valve for breathability does not protrude. A Nose Fit Adjuster adapts to individual nose shapes for ultimate comfort, and prevents air leakage.

The mask’s replaceable filter feature makes it easy to maintain and is more cost effective in the long run, compared to disposable pollution masks.

The Freka Go campaign on Indiegogo aims to raise US$30,000 in 30 days. In the campaign, Freka is offering the Feedbacker Pack where parents and children are given the opportunity to try a non-commercial sample of Freka Go. Users will be able to give feedback and suggestions on Freka Go to make it even better before it rolls out as a final commercial version.
