Dyson on Friday officially opened the doors to its new Dyson Demo Store at Mid Valley Southey, Johor Bahru. This is the sixth experience store the renowned designer brand has opened in the country since the very first at The Gardens Mall, Kuala Lumpur. The space has been designed to encourage visitors to get a hands-on experience with Dyson’s latest technology.
The Demo Store will display Dyson’s portfolio of key technologies—designed to solve everyday problems.
One of the flagship products on display is the new Dyson V11 cord-free vacuum, featuring the all-new Dyson digital motor V11. The new digital motor spins up to 125,000rpm, producing 20 percent more suction power than its predecessor, the Dyson Cyclone V10. The new vacuum is also smarter, able to automatically sense and capture debris, as well as report vacuum performance and status on a built-in LCD screen in real time.
You’ll be able to catch one of the coolest looking (and performing) purifying fans in the business—the Dyson Pure Cool series. They remove 99.97 percent of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns from the air, then projecting purified air to you and your space. Available as a purifying tower fan and purifying desk fan, they automatically detect and capture microscopic airborne pollutants in your space. Receive live reporting on the air quality via the Dyson Link App.
Forget the conventional hair dryer that cause extreme heat damage to your locks; bulky, heavy units that are difficult to manoeuvre. The Dyson Supersonic hair dryer is THE hair dryer, reimagined and made better. Powered by the new patented Dyson digital motor V9, the hair dryer uses a fans but focused airflow, engineered for gentle, quiet performance. It intelligently controls the temperature to help protect your hair from extreme heat damage. Dyson spent £50 million on the development of the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer, including a state-of-the-art laboratory dedicated to the science of hair.
Popular amongst the womenfolk is the Dyson Airwrap Styler, the perfect weapon to achieve voluminous curls, natural waves and smooth blow-dry finishes at home. Also harnessing the intelligent, high-pressure digital motor V9, the Dyson Airwrap Styler harnesses a phenomenon known as the Coanda effect. In a nutshell, Dyson’s team of aerodynamicists created a way to style hair using only air combined with heat. You need to see and test it yourself to believe.
One of Dyson’s latest endeavours is the Dyson Lighting. The minimalist, industrial-looking Dyson Lightcycle task light is engineered to provide the right light to you for the right time of day. It features local daylight tracking that continually adjusts colour temperature and brightness. It’s designed to reduce eye strain with over 1,000 Lux brightness; Heat Pipe technology keeps the light quality consistent for 60 years. What’s more, with the Dyson Link app, you can personalise the light to your liking, so it’s always optimised for you.
Will Kerr, Design Manager, New Product Development, Dyson, says: “It is critical for people to be able to test and experience our technology, so they can understand how it works. This space is designed with that in mind. You can pick-up the machines, pull them apart, and thoroughly test them, whether it is a cord-free vacuum on our test tracks with various dust samples or hair styling with Dyson hair care technology. The opening of the new Dyson Demo Store in Southeast Asia is a testament to our ambitions to expand our footprint further and to bring Dyson technology closer to the people in Johor Bahru.”
