Celebrity photo leaks continue as Rihanna and Kim Kardashian become latest victims

The nude saga continues. Oh boy.

If you’ve been following the massive celebrity nude photo leak that involved stars like Jennifer Lawrence, Kirsten Dunst and Kate Upton, then you may be in for more surprises. More nude pics were posted on Reddit and Twitter early on Saturday including ones of Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Hudgens, Avril Lavigne, Leelee Sobieski and Lake Bell.

Nude pictures of pop star Rihanna appeared online today which were both selfies and shots taken by someone else.

Kim Kardashian isn’t a stranger to controversy or nakedness though, as she has often shared revealing selfies and has posed nude for photo shoots. She recently appears naked in British GQ. Funnily enough, Kardashian shot to fame via a sex tape she made with her former lover.

The high profile leak which first appeared on 4Chan’s /b/ thread, has been solely blamed on a vulnerability found in Apple iCloud’s service. A publicly available Python script was purportedly used on victims’ accounts to gain access.

A master list of all celebrities involved was published and shared in the forums.

Consequently, Reddit has shut down the main thread dubbed The Fappening but a handful of threads still thrive on the popular forum.

Apple, however, has denied that the leak as a result of an iCloud hack. Instead, Apple officially stated that the private images and videos were obtained through a large scale targeted attack on user names, passwords and security questions.

Apple did release a patch shortly after to plug the vulnerability in iCloud’s Find my iPhone service.

The much-publicised scandal caught the attention of the FBI, who are now actively investigating.
