Critically-acclaimed, global phenomenon, Mr. Robot is back for its second season. Fast-tracked from the U.S., new episodes will premiere every Thursday, within 24-hours of the U.S. broadcast, exclusively on iflix.
I was personally hooked to the first season, although it did take a couple of episodes before it grew on me. The drama series in its debut season was a huge hit, garnering numerous accolades and awards. This includes the famed Golden Globe for “Best TV Drama” and a Peabody Award.
Mr. Winner
Christian Slater, in his element, took home the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for his appearance in the series. The series has also won the 2016 Writers Guild of America (WGA) for Best New Series.
Additionally, it’s currently nominated for the 2016 Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (Rami Malek), Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series (Sam Esmail) as well as Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series.
Control is an illusion
Mr. Robot tells the tale of Elliot Alderson, a young cyber-security engineer who becomes involved in an underground hacker group called fscociety. The second season continues from the massive fsociety 5/9 hack on multi-national conglomerate Evil Corp.
The first season of Mr. Robot was one of Malaysia’s most talked about shows of 2015.
