ASUS unleashes portfolio of AMD Ryzen 4000-powered notebooks

ASUS AMD 2020 Summer Lineup

ASUS goes all-in with AMD as it unleashes a wide-range of AMD Ryzen 4000 Series Mobile Processor-powered notebooks in Malaysia. From the premium ROG Zephyrus G15, ROG Strix GA35 and GA15 gaming desktops to ASUS TUF Gaming A15 and A17, as well as the ultraportable mainstream ASUS VivoBook S14.

ROG Zephyrus G15

The premium ROG Zephyrus G15 continues to push the boundaries of thin-and-light gaming notebooks, now powered by the all-new AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS mobile processor. Featuring eight cores and 16 threads, the 7nm provides the muscles for heavy multi-tasking, content creation, and hardcore gaming. ROG’s HyperCool Technology comprising dual 12V fans, three air vents, and anti-dust technology ensures the device stays cool even when performing the most intensive tasks.

ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15

The compact chassis houses a 15.6-inch FHD IPS Panel that boasts a 144Hz refresh rate and support Adaptive Sync for smooth, tear-free display performance.

Under the hood, the Ryzen 7-4800HS octa-core processor is paired with 16GB of 3200MHz DDR4 RAM and 1TB of PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD storage. For additional storage, there’s an additional m.2 slot for future upgrades. Taking care of graphics tasks is an NVIDIA GTX 1660Ti Max-Q GPU with 6GB of GDDR6 memory.

The 76Whr 4-cell battery is charged up via USB-C. The bundled 180W power brick supports USB-C PD 3.0 charging of up to 65W.

The ROG Zephyrus G15 is available now for MYR5,299. Comes with a 2-year global warranty.

ROG Strix GA35 and GA15 gaming desktops

Engineered for demanding workloads and heavy-duty gaming, the ROG Strix GA35 features up to the 12-core AMD Ryzen 9 3900X and ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics card.

What ROG fans will appreciate is that the gaming desktops feature 100 per cent ROG components inside. This includes the chassis, mainboard and VGA.

The GPU features a triple-fan cooler, mounted vertically, while a 240mm radiator chills the CPU with liquid cooling. The multizone chassis provides optimised airflow and comprehensive cooling for the system.

It comes standard with 16GB of 3200MHz DDR4 RAM, with a total of four RAM slots. Storage is supplied by a 512GB PCIe NVMe m.2 SSD and 2TB 7200rpm 3.5-inch SATA HDD. The case offers hot-swappable m.2 slots for snap on upgrades.

The all-new case is simple to open and upgrade and feature EMI anti-static glass.

The ROG Strix GA15 comes in a lean and tall case, made for serious esports performance while offered at accessible price points. The 10kg package features a built-in carrying handle and an efficient cooling design.

It packs up to the eight-core, 16-thread Ryzen 7 3800X coupled with a base 8GB of 3200MHz DDR4 RAM, 512GB PCIe NVMe m.2 SSD and 1TB 7200rpm SATA HDD.

The ROG Strix GA35 starts from MYR9,999 while the GA15 starts from MYR4,299. Both are available now and come with a 3-year on-site warranty.

 

ASUS TUG Gaming A15 and A17

Previously the FX-series, the rebranded 15-inch TUF Gaming A15 and 17-inch TUF Gaming A17 are value devices that deliver unprecedented performance. Powered by up to the Ryzen 9 4900H processor, they pack a minimum of 8GB 3200MHz DDR4 RAM, 1TB of PCIe NVMe m.2 SSD, and up to the NVIDIA RTX2060 (6GB GDDR6) graphics.

Both models sports 144Hz FHD IPS panels support Adaptive Sync.

Comes with a 2-year global warranty and is available for purchase now. ASUS offers an extensive range of SKUs with prices starting from MYR3,499 for the base A15, all the way up to MYR5,899 for the top-of-the-line A17.

ASUS VivoBook S14

The compact VivoBook S14 is a versatile, mainstream notebook that measures just 15.9mm thick and weighs 1.4kg. The narrow-bezel NanoEdge 14-inch FHD display makes it perfect for consuming or creating multimedia content.

The standout diamond-cut edges complement the anodised, textured metal chassis and a range of bold colours including Gaia Green, Dreamy White, and Indie Black.

Under the hood, the VivoBook S14 packs up to the AMD Ryzen 7 4700U processor with 8GB of DDR4 (can be custom configured up to 16GB) and 512GB of PCIe NVMe m.2 SSD. The device boasts Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity as well as offers a host of expansion ports including a HDMI 1.4, 3.5mm combo audio jack, two USB 2.0 Type-A, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, and a USBD 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, and a microSD card reader.
