ASUS Malaysia recently announced the immediate availability of ASUS A88X-PRO, A88X-PLUS and A55BM-E motherboards for AMD Socket FM2+ APUs (Accelerated Processing Units). The new motherboards retain compatibility with existing AMD Socket FM2 (Richland and Trinity) APUs but also come bundled with exclusive tools to unleash full power of the latest Socket FM2+ ‘Kaveri’ APUs.
The new motherboards accommodate the latest AMD Kaveri APUs that support Microsoft DirectX 11.1 for incredibly fast and smooth graphics performance; and native PCI Express 3.0 support for full-speed expansion. The new motherboards also offer native support for 4K resolutions via HDMI and DisplayPort connections.
With the new motherboards come the renowned ASUS Dual Intelligent Processors 4 with 4-Way Optimisation technology. This easy-to-use tuning tool dynamically adjusts ASUS TPU (TurboV Processing Unit), EPU (Energy Processing Unit), DIGI+ Power Control and Fan Xpert 2 technologies to enhance performance, reduce noise and increase efficiency.
Conveniently, ASUS GPU Boost technology is able to unlock any APU for integrated graphics overclocking – even non-Black Edition APUs can get instant performance increase of up to 30%.
The ASUS A88X-PRO, A88X-PLUS and A55BM-E motherboards also include 5X Protection technology that safeguards sensitive components from short-circuits and electrical surges. 5X Protection includes ASUS DIGI+ VRM (voltage-regulator module) to ensure reliability and durability.
USB 3.0 Boost with UASP Mode is integrated on the new motherboards – bringing eve more acceleration to the already fast speed of USB 3.0. It optimises transfer commands so that there is more data throughput.
