Mac OS X Lion. iOS 5. iCloud. Worldwide Developers Conference 2011 (WWDC) – the most exciting Apple event for Apple fans, consumers, professionals and developers alike is happening today, June 6 at 1.00am Malaysian time. Apple is set to unveil the eighth major release of Mac OS X codenamed Lion.
The next generation iOS 5 powering iPhone, iPads and iPods is set to be revealed as well. Will it be cloud-centric? More social? Have new gestures and notifications? We’ll see!

iCloud is possibly the most talked about term for the past couple of weeks. For one, Apple for once, has pre-announced a product. It is expected to be a set of cloud-based services, which the typically accurate John Gruber of Daring Fireball fame claims, would be more “new-iTunes” than “new-MobileMe.” Will it be free? Some quarters say that certain components of iCloud may not be free for customers. Apple recently negotiated new licensing deals with (at least) Sony, EMI, and Warner Music, and is expected to announce its own music streaming services during WWDC.
