AMD announced today that the new AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT, Ryzen 7 3800XT, and Ryzen 5 3600XT processors, targeted at gamers, enthusiasts, and content creators, are now available. Announced just two weeks ago, the new Ryzen 3000XT Series offers higher boost frequencies with better single-threaded performance and power efficiency than its competitors.
Built upon the Zen 2 architecture, the new chips offer high boost clock speeds while retaining base clock frequencies and TDP ratings.
The 7nm 12-core Ryzen 9 3900XT features a max boost clock of up to 4.7GHz—100MHz more than the Ryzen 9 3900X. Unlike the Ryzen 9 3900X, the Ryzen 9 3900XT does not come with a stock CPU cooler.
Next, the 8-core Ryzen 7 3800XT offers max boost clock speeds of up to 4.7GHz, 200Mhz more than the Ryzen 7 3800X. Unlike the Ryzen 7 3800X which comes with a Wraith Prism with RGB LED air cooler, the new XT version is bare bones.
Lastly, the 6-core Ryzen 5 3600XT pushes a max boost clock speed of up to 4.5GHz, a 100Mhz improvement over the non-XT version. Like the other 3000XT Series CPUs, it does not come with a stock cooling solution.
