3 things you should do before AirAsia’s online reservation system goes down this weekend

AirAsia Reservation System

Wanderlusters, avid travellers, AirAsia customers, take note. The world’s best, award-winning low cost carrier has announced that its online reservation system will be down from 2.00PM on Saturday, 19 January 2019 (MYT) to 3.00AM on Sunday, 20 January 2019. The 13-hour downtime is to facilitate a scheduled system upgrade.

AirAsia says it is in the process of upgrading its Navitaire New Skies reservation system, as part of its continuous efforts to provide guests with an enhanced online experience.

Note that self-check-in facility will not be available on the web, mobile app and airport kiosk for the entire duration.

To avoid complications, here are five things you should do if you’re traveling with AirAsia:

  • If you’ve already made a booking, ensure you perform an online check-in before 2.00PM on Saturday. You can check-in as early as 14 days before your departure on all AirAsia and AirAsia X flights.
  • Print out your boarding passes or use E-Boarding pass where available.
  • Be at the airport at least three hours before your flight to avoid any inconvenience.

By the way, don’t forget that AirAsia is offering 1.9 million discounted seats as part of its new year promo. It is offering all-in members fares from as low as MYR19 for local destinations, and as low as MYR49 to international destinations.

AirAsia X on the other hand offers all-in members fares from as low as MYR319.

AirAsia BIG members can redeem promo seats from as low as 920 BIG Points on airasiabig.com or the BIG Loyalty app.
