AirAsia launches MYR399 Unlimited Pass for domestic travel

AirAsia Unlimited Pass

Following the government’s announcement that domestic travel is now allowed in Malaysia as part of the new Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO), AirAsia is launching an Unlimited Pass to boost domestic travel and tourism.

The new AirAsia Unlimited Pass Cuti-Cuti Malaysia, priced at just MYR399 nett, is available to all Malaysia-based AirAsia BIG members. If you’re a member, you can purchase this pass on airasia.com/deals or via the AirAsia mobile app (under the Deals tab) from 10:00AM, 11 June 2020 until 23:59, 13 June 2020. Flights can be redeemed for travel from 25 June 2020 up to 31 March 2021.

The offer covers point-to-point flights operated by AirAsia Berhad’s AK carrier code only to 16 destinations across the country including Alor Setar, Langkawi, Penang, Ipoh, Johor Bahru, Kuala Lumpur, Kota Bharu, Kuala Terengganu, Kuching, Miri, Bintulu, Sibu, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Tawau, and Labuan.

Do note that flights redeemed with the Unlimited Pass are subject to government taxes and fees, add-ons and other applicable charges. Flight booking must be made at least 14 days before departure, embargo period and other terms and conditions apply.

AirAsia Unlimited Pass

AirAsia says the introduction of the Unlimited Pass is timely and aligned with the reopening of domestic travel under the RMCO. This is boosted by the Penjana Economic Recovery Plan which also introduces incentives such as the MYR1,000 income tax relief for domestic tourism expenses (up till December 2021).

To reassure travellers, aside from adhering to government and health authorities standard operating procedures (SOP), AirAsia has also implemented end-to-end contactless procedures and a series of new safety measures. The airline also takes care of those most at risk to ensure the safety of all its passengers.
