Acer Swift 3 first with AMD Ryzen 5 4500U in Malaysia

Acer’s thin and light notebook—the Swift 3 now comes AMD Ryzen-powered. Evidently, the Swift 3 is the first AMD Ryzen 4500U processor-powered notebook that’s commercially available in Malaysia.

The Swift 3 features a narrow-bezel display, boasting an 83.65 per cent screen-to-body ratio with its 14inch FHD panel.

Under the hood, the new Swift 3 comes powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 4500U paired with AMD Radeon Graphics, up to 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of PCIe NVMe SSD.

Speedy connectivity is thanks to dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (2×2 MU-MIMO) and Bluetooth 5.0, plus a USB-C (Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A, DisplayPort), a USB 3.1 Type-A, and a USB 2.0 port for expandability.

The built-in battery keeps things going for up to 11 hours (AMD model), and up to 16 hours (Intel). Moreover, it supports fast-charging. A 30-minute charge can give you up to four hours of use.

All its productive goodness is packed into a metal chassis that’s just 15.95mm thick, weighing only 1.2kg.

The new Acer Swift 3 comes pre-installed with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2019 and the license is valid for the lifetime of the device.

The device runs Windows 10 Home out-of-the-box.

Also available are Intel variants—an Intel Core i5-1035G1 with Intel UHD Graphics, and Intel Core i7-1065G7 with NVIDIA MX250 Graphics.
