Samsung, proud sponsor of Chelsea FC since 2005, is delighted to support the Premier League giants on their Asian tour. Samsung is running a series of experiential events combining sport, entertainment and technology across Asia.
Chelsea FC’s Asia Tour 2013 kicked off in Thailand on July 17, where the Blues played an engaging friendly match against the Singha All-Star XI at Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok. The Blues edged the All-Star XI 1-0 through a penalty conversion by striker Romelo Lukaku.
The Blues are ready to take on Malaysia XI later today (July 21) and finally to Jakarta on July 25 to play against an Indonesia XI.
Since July 13, experiential zones filled with TVs, cameras and sound equipment have been open at select shopping malls in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. Visitors engage in football, dancing and racing games with friends on 3D displays.
The football game features exclusive recorded footage of Chelsea starts Juan Mata and Victor Moses, who would interact with a fan by passing them the ball. More stars including Fernando Torres, Oscar dos Santos and Petr Cech will appear on screens for picture-taking opportunities.
Samsung also created a real life giant pinball game and placed in malls to enable fans to emulate their idols and show off their footballing skills.

Yesterday, Chelsea FC youth coaches were back to teaching local children the techniques and insights of the beautiful game, at Chelsea Blue Pitch @ NPNG Sports Centre. In conjunction with Chelsea FC’s Asia Tour, this year’s Samsung-Chelsea Youth Football Clinic saw children from Yayasan Sunbeams Home being treated to a thrilling training session.
This was a follow-up of last year’s youth football clinic held at the same venue. The clinic is Samsung’s commitment to nurture young talents and to engage young Malaysians through the common passion point of football.
The Chelsea FC vs Malaysia XI friendly match kicks off at 9.45pm, 21 July 2013 at Shah Alam Stadium.
We’ll be there catching our Blues idols. We promise to post lots of pics and hopefully grab some autographs too!
