Pre-orders for the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus officially kick off today, 13 October 2017. Telcos and authorised Apple retailers have revealed pricing and contract plans (with Celcom being first off the bat). The new Apple devices will hit stores next Friday, 20 October 2017.
Based on what has been revealed by Apple Premium Resellers Switch and Machines, the official iPhone 8 prices are a tad more expensive than expected. Yes, more expensive than both the estimated prices by Soyacincau, and Celcom’s RRP revealed yesterday.
As a comparison, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus were priced at MYR3,199 and MYR3,799 when they were first launched in Malaysia.
Based on the current pricing, the much-awaited iPhone X base model with 64GB of storage may be priced at an excruciating MYR5,239 when it reaches Malaysian shores. Holy smokes.
