U Mobile bumps up Giler Unlimited prepaid plans at no extra charge

U Mobile Giler Unlimited GX38

The race to “unlimited” supremacy amongst the local telcos has heated up in recent weeks, with Hotlink and Celcom rolling out new products. The “O.G.” or originator of this strategy—U Mobile, has responded. Aimed at supporting customers in the “new normal” and as part of its GilerBagiLebih campaign, the agile telco has enhanced its Giler Unlimited Prepaid plans, delivering more value, for free.

Coming into effect on 12 June 2020, GX30 prepaid customers will enjoy double the speeds for unlimited data capped at 6Mbps. In addition, they will get double the hotspot data quota at 6GB for the same price of MYR1 a day.

On the other hand, GX38 prepaid customers will now enjoy unlimited local calls to all networks, on top of the doubled hotspot data of 6GB and unlimited data capped at 6Mbps. GX38 is currently offered at a promo price of MYR35.

These new enhancements are automatic and free for new and existing GX prepaid customers. Current GX prepaid customers will receive the new perks automatically in their next renewal cycle.

If you need a high-speed data boost, you can add Data Booster 5 which gives you 10GB of high-speed data (uncapped) for 14 days at just MYR5.

Likewise, if you need more hotspot data, you can purchase the Hotspot Booster which provides additional 3GB hotspot data for three days at just MYR3.

That’s not all, in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all eligible prepaid and postpaid U Mobile customers who are Malaysians or Permanent Residents will receive GoInsure 3 for free. GoInsure 3 is a Personal Accident (PA) insurance product that also provides additional coverage for COVID-19. Terms and conditions apply.
