If you have an old or used smartphone lying around at home, you may want to put it to good use. Samsung is giving a generous rebate for the purchase of its Galaxy J5 Prime and Galaxy J7 Prime.
As you may know, Samsung has several distinct product lines targeted at different consumer segment. Standing proudly on the pedestal is the flagship S Series and Note phablet series; followed by the premium mid-range A Series, the oddball C Series, upper mid-range E series; then the low-mid range J Series. There are also other series (W, Y, etc) depending on market and region.
In Malaysia, the J Series sits nicely below the premium mid-range A Series (which has been getting plenty of airplay lately). The affordable device range packs plenty of value, and surprisingly well-specced for its price point.
From now until 21 May 2017, Samsung is offering a huge MYR200 instant rebate for every used or old smartphone. The device needs not to be in perfect form, but needs to be in working condition.
The MYR200 rebate can be used to purchase the Galaxy J5 Prime (MYR899) or Galaxy J7 Prime (MYR1,199). That makes the Galaxy J5 Prime super affordable at MYR699, while the Galaxy J7 Prime tops MYR999.
Both devices sport a refined design with a curved back, and a real metal finish plus a dual-tone premium look.
They share a 13MP f/1.9 aperture rear camera. The front is a 5MP f/2.2 selfie shooter.
The Galaxy J5 Prime packs a 5.0-inch HD display, and is powered by a quad-core Exynos 7570 chip with 2GB of RAM. Storage is 16GB with microSD expansion.
The Galaxy J7 Prime on the other hand, features a 5.5-inch Full HD display and boasts an octa-core Exynos 7870 processor. It’s coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.
To take up the offer, just bring your old smartphone to participating Samsung outlets. The Galaxy J5 Prime comes in White/Gold and Black colour options, while the Galaxy J7 Prime is in Pink Gold.
