Book & Earn GrabRewards Points

SOCAR has partnered Grab to offer 3.3 million GrabRewards Points to SOCAR members. You can earn 500 GrabRewards Points when you use GrabPay for the first time to make a SOCAR booking. Here’s how you can do it:

New SOCAR user

  • Download the SOCAR app via Google Play Store or Apple App Store
  • Register GrabPay as your primary payment method
  • Make your first completed booking with a minimum 3-hour duration and pay with GrabPay to earn 500 points.

Existing SOCAR use

  • Register GrabPay as your payment method
  • Use GrabPay for the first time to make a SOCAR booking
  • The registration value must be a minimum of MYR50 to earn 500 points.
  • The promotion is valid for any SOCAR model until 31 January 2020.

*Note: GrabRewards Points will be credited on the 6th of the following month (6 January and 6 February 2020).

Booking discounts for Hong Leong Bank and Citibank cardholders

If you’re a Hong Leong Bank or Citibank cardholder, register your bank cards as the payment method in the SOCAR app to enjoy 15 percent off bookings made in December 2019 up until 31 January 2020. The coupon will be auto-applied to the member’s coupon book upon registration and approval of the card in the SOCAR app.

SOCAR has grown from strength to strength since it debuted in Malaysia in 2018. The car-sharing giant’s membership base now standing at over 500,000. SOCAR revealed recently that a typical reservation is 4-5 hours, but some users do book up to 30 days. Starting with just 100 SOCAR zones, numbers have grown ten-fold to 1,000 SOCAR Zones across the Klang Valley, Penang, and Johor.

SOCAR’s fleet of 2,000 cars cover 26 different car models including the Volkswagen Polo, Perodua Alza, BMW 330e, and Mazda CX-5, with new cars added to the fleet almost every month.
